RefugePoint’s 20th Anniversary Gala: Finding Refuge Together

RefugePoint will celebrate its 20th Anniversary Gala, Finding Refuge Together, on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston — an evening uniting art, activism, and impact in support of refugees worldwide.

Hosted by comedian and actor Anthony Anderson, the event will feature a powerful on-stage conversation between Nobel Peace Prize Laureate Nadia Murad and award-winning actor Don Cheadle, both of whom will receive RefugePoint’s Champion of Change Award for their extraordinary humanitarian leadership.

Nadia Murad, a survivor of the Yazidi genocide, has become a global advocate for survivors of sexual violence and persecuted communities. Don Cheadle, celebrated for his acting and activism, has long worked to end genocide in Darfur and serves as a UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Environment.

The gala will include performances by Deo Mwano, Arson Fahim, the Wula Drum & Dance Ensemble, and DJ Val Fleury, alongside a globally inspired dine-around reception and live auction. Additional honorees include Barrie Landry, Isabel Allende, and Goodwin for their exceptional commitment to supporting refugees.

As RefugePoint marks two decades of life-changing partnerships with displaced people, this milestone event celebrates progress made and the continuing work toward dignity and opportunity for all refugees.

Founded and led by Sasha Chanoff, RefugePoint is a humanitarian organization that finds lasting solutions for the world’s most at-risk refugees and supports the humanitarian community to do the same. Over the past two decades, RefugePoint has helped reshape how the world approaches refugee resettlement, self-reliance, and long-term stability.
