Srikanth Reddy

I recently graduated with a Master's in Computer Science from Boston University in December 2025. Originally from Andhra Pradesh, India, I have a deep passion for building technology that solves real-world problems through thoughtful engineering and user-centered design. I am drawn to the spaces where technical depth and human impact meet, where well-crafted systems make a genuine difference in people's lives.

One of the highlights of my time at BU was winning third place at the BU Innovation Competition with SkillSwap, a peer-to-peer skill exchange platform I built entirely on my own. Competing as a solo team against 40 other teams, SkillSwap earned a $4,000 prize, recognized for its potential to create real human connections at scale. Building and pitching SkillSwap taught me not just how to engineer a product, but how to think deeply about the people it serves.

I also contributed to WLF, a machine learning project developed within BU Spark!, the university's innovation and experiential learning lab. The project centers on building an image classification model, and I worked across both the technical pipeline and the product side, helping define the vision, prioritize features, and shape the development roadmap. This experience sharpened my ability to lead cross-functional efforts and think holistically about what gets built and why.

Before graduate school, I spent two years growing from a curious intern into a software engineer with a strong foundation in backend services, microservices, web applications, and machine learning tools. These years taught me how to build scalable, reliable systems and, equally important, how to collaborate and communicate across diverse teams. I came to care deeply about the quality and purpose behind the work, not just the code itself.

I completed my undergraduate studies in Computer Science at Parul University, where coursework in algorithms, software design, and data science gave me the technical grounding I still build on today. Beyond academics, I developed leadership skills as a volunteer with the National Service Scheme (NSS), where I led a team of ten to deliver STEM education programs to underserved communities. That experience deepened my sense of purpose and reinforced my belief that technology, when built with intention, can create meaningful change.

I met Sherman through my brother, and since then I've had the privilege of getting to know not only him but also the inspiring community he has cultivated through The Trebuchet. His thoughtful guidance and genuine belief in meaningful engagement have made a lasting impression on me. Supporting Sherman and The Trebuchet by helping maintain the website has been a rewarding way to contribute to a mission I deeply respect. I'm grateful to be part of a community that values curiosity, connection, and purpose.

Sri is a highly accomplished young computer scientist who recently graduated with honors from the highly regarded Master's program at Boston University. He is remarkably skilled, diligent, and assiduous, with a powerful work ethic and caring concern for detailed problem solving. I have worked with him for nearly two years in which time I have been impressed by his character and decency.
He has problem solved and advised me in an unstinting manner, always in a selfless manner. I hosted him in my home when he initially came to the US, and he was a wonderful guest. I can vouch for his wonderful character as a man of integrity and determination. It is a privilege to call him my friend.
